“What i like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.”
― Karl Lagerfeld
"They" always say, if it's meant to be it'll be and I suppose I can say thats exactly how I became a photographer. For as long as I can remember I've been an artist without direction. Don't get me wrong I've had and continue to have MANY passions. I've dabbled in many different mediums, I even pursued a degree in Interior and Architectural Design from FIDM but it wasn't until I was pregnant with my daughter, Olive, that I picked up my camera. It was in that moment, photographing her nursery that I had created with my own vision, hands and hard work that I felt the true power of a photograph. I was capturing something I'd created, something I'd spent months envisioning and something that would soon be the room that kept my beautiful girl safe. In that moment, I found my connection I found the thing that set my soul on fire, it felt like I had finally found, home. New mom and all, I decided to set out on a new venture. One that not only allowed me to be the mom I envisioned but also allowed me to keep the fire in my soul alive. I'm in love with what I do, I get to meet some of the most wonderful souls and capture beautiful fleeting moments along their journeys and I'm honored and humbled, every time.
I have found, there are many ways to approach photography and for the record, in my opinion there is no right or wrong. Personally, I believe in authenticity. Don't get me wrong, I too love Pinterest and I would love to see (a few ;)) of your Pinterest ideas because, this experience, it isn't about me, its about you and your fiance, and what the two of you have been envisioning. With that said, I want to capture your love story. The things that make you unique as a couple, the moments that cant simply be replicated from copying a pose. The moments even you cant plan for. Because let me tell you, I've been around a lot of weddings and no matter how much planning you do, there will be moments that you haven't planned for. But the best part is, if you let it tell your story and become part of your day, it'll be beautiful, no matter what. More so, I strongly believe in getting to know my couples. All of my packages include complimentary engagement sessions. Lets face it, not everyone is comfortable in front of a camera (myself included). You and I, we will be spending a lot of time together, and I want to make that time as memorable for you as your photographs.
